Congressman Maurice spoke and commented in favor of the alternative ideas presented by Main Street Alliance. Eight years later the irony is typical of old time Saugerties politics as the former Cantine Dam property that was touted as a great place for the new Saugerties Town Hall, is now partly (Struzzieri, Mullen, Hinchey) owned by Congressman Hinchey, visa ve the Partition Street Project which plans to convert this picturesque view into a Banquet Hall and Hotel open to paying customers only... please.
